Three Italian stars

Hello friends. Now that word is getting out about our foray into international waters, we’re beginning to receive offers for some pretty remarkable parcels. Little magical library stashes are beginning to show up at our doorstep, looking for happy homes; parcels whose existence was shrouded to Full Pull list members when we were northwest-only.

This weekend’s offering is a good example: a duo of well-aged Baroli from the outstanding Giuseppe Rinaldi and a benchmark example of mid-‘90s Chianti Classico.

Lovers of the best that Italy has to offer should pay careful attention here:

Here is an excerpt of Galloni writing on Rinaldi (from 2008): “[TEXT WITHHELD].”

Intrigued? Let’s move onto the wines:

2004 Giuseppe Rinaldi Barolo Brunate

Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate (Antonio Galloni): “[REVIEW TEXT WITHHELD]. 96+pts.”

2000 Giuseppe Rinaldi Barolo Brunate

Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate (Antonio Galloni): “[REVIEW TEXT WITHHELD]. 96pts.”

And now a quick word on Felsina. Galloni plays a central role again, as he caused a lot of interest after releasing his reviews of an extensive Rancia vertical in the June 2012 Wine Advocate. Here is an excerpt from his introductory text:

“[TEXT WITHHELD].”

Today we have access to the 1995, a vintage that Galloni sees as just entering its peak window:

1995 Fattoria di Felsina Chianti Classico Riserva Rancia

Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate (Antonio Galloni): “[REVIEW TEXT WITHHELD]. 94pts.”

Please limit order requests to 3 bottles of each Barolo and 1 bottle of Rancia, and we’ll do our best to fulfill all requests. The wines should arrive in 2-3 weeks, at which point they will be available for pickup or shipping during the autumn shipping window.
