2009 Long Shadows Pirouette

Hello friends. I received a number of requests for today’s wine over the holiday break; a result, I assume, of a strong review from Paul Gregutt in the year-end issue of Wine Enthusiast. Squeaky wheels, enjoy your grease:

2009 Long Shadows Pirouette

We offered the large-format version of this in our December Long Shadows magnum offering, and now the 750s have arrived. A Bordeaux blend made in conjunction with Californians Philippe Melka and Agustin Huneeus, in 2009 this was 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Malbec, with much of the Cab coming from Red Mountain and the 1972 block at Sagemoor.

Wine Enthusiast (Paul Gregutt): “($50); [REVIEW TEXT WITHHELD]. 95pts.”

First come first served up to 12 bottles, and the wine should arrive in about a week, at which point it will be available for pickup or shipping during the spring shipping window.
